QUR’AN AND SCIENCE: Where Do They Meet? (3)

We keep researching what scientists say about the creation of the universe, and comparing what they say with that which comes from the Holy Qur’an, as one of the readers requested four weeks and past. In the previous section, the reader was introduced to the origin of this world and other planets and celestial bodies, as well as evidence from modern scientific research and confirmation from the Qur’an. great.

We will now move on, where we will focus on the shape of our world; how is it Is it flat, with a front or a border on each side, or is it something? Then, the day and the moon that we see every day, how do they relate to the world we live in?

And the reader will know whether they have a fixed deadline, or just so they will continue to exist. All of this will be based on evidence from modern scientists, and evidence from the Qur’an.

Here we go!

The World Is Like An Egg

Many nations in the past have not stopped thinking that our planet is as flat as a plate; Wherever you go, you will find a destination. Just like the top of a table, or the top of a mattress or the top of any flat object. Some are even afraid to travel far, for fear of “falling” underground, according to them. It was not until 1597, when a scientist named Francis Drake tried to circumnavigate the oceans, that he realized that the world was not the way it was thought; it is soft, like an egg.

That is why sometimes when you go to the end of the city, or to the beach, you feel as if the sky is connected to the sea. Drake made this discovery in 1597, which is 412 years today.

As for the Qur’an, we find that this came after its revelation 1,018 years. And still, as everyone knows, the results of this “new” research are still being investigated.

So what does the Qur’an say before this study?

Proof from the Qur’an in many suras of the Qur’an, God shows us that our world is like an egg. We can understand this from the relationship between night and day (or day, as we usually say). Here are some of the facts:

“Do you not see that Allah merges night into day, and He merges day into night?” (Luqman: 29)

That night is introduced into the day, and day into the night, as we know, it happens slowly – little by little – not at the same time. And this shows us that the universe is not flat.

That way, we would go into the day at the same time, and we would go into the night at the same time. This means that each one comes with a light or dark light at the same time, just as you get light when you turn on the flashlight, or turn it off.

In another verse Allah uses the word “wrapped”, where He says:

“He created the heavens and the earth with truth. He wraps the night over the day (day), and He wraps the day (day) over the night… ”(Zumar: 5)

Although some people use the word “entry” in the sense of the word “kawwara”. They do it to convey meaning. But its original meaning is “wrapped.” Everything that is said to be wrapped is in the shape of a circle, or a circle, or a circle. If something is said to be wrapped around it, then it is inside. Just as the turban wearer wrapped his crown, one section on top of another.

The same cannot be said of day and night, until the environment exposed to light or darkness becomes opaque or frozen, egg-shaped.The Sun and the Moon Turn.

Before the European experience was far advanced in scientific research, their theory of the sun was that it was standing still! All other living beings in its vicinity also revolve around their orbits, in order to orbit it. This trend continued in the western world until the second century.

Nicholas Theory

In 1512, the scientist Nicholas Copernicus developed the theory of Heliocentric Theory of Planetary Motion, which showed that all other living things in the universe rotate in their orbits. surrounds the sun. But the sun stood still, and it did not move.

The same was confirmed by the study of John Keppler, in 1609.It was as a result of research that these self-propelled cats became aware of the rotation of larger beings in space, and allowed them to understand the “evolution” of night and day in their orbits. I’m sure if not now, many of us (who graduated from high school years ago), would have been taught this scientific principle that “all other living beings in the universe are in orbit around the sun.” their circumference. ”

But astronomers have now uncovered the theory of Nicholas and Keppler, proving that the sun, in its orbit, does not stand still. So what does the Qur’an say?

Proof from the Qur’anIf we go back to Surah Ambiya ’, we will find evidence that with the sun and the moon, each of them has its own astronomy (or path, or stream) that it follows, and its speed or speed.

Here is what God said:

“And He it is Who created the night and the day, and the sun and the moon, each in an orbit floating.” (Ambiya ’: 33)

This indicates that there must be an astronomy or path that each of them follows in its orbit. Night and day are mentioned here in connection with the day and the moon. Also, their movement or rotation in this astronomy is very different. Each one walks at its own pace.

In this regard Allah again says:

“It simply came to our notice then. And the night should not be for him to escape the day. And they all float in the same orbit. (Yasin: 40)

The word “swimming” or “peace” used by God (“Yasbahoon”) makes one wonder if there is water in the sky where the sun and the moon are swimming. No, that is not the case. It is a broad term, depending on how it is used in the sentence. If it is used on a person in the water, it means he is swimming. If it is on the ground, it means it is moving. The sun and the moon travel in the same way that they travel in space.

But each of them has its own way. And astronomers now confirm that the sun completes its orbit – from the starting point to the axis (or “axis” in English) – within 25 days of each month. Kenan, in twenty-five days it was doing one round. The moon orbits our planet in 29 days and 29 days.

In this regard, Allah says:

“And the moon, We have measured for it mansions (to traverse) till it returns like the old dried curved date stalk.” (Yasin:39)

These “mansions” mentioned by God are the abodes that he descends on every day, until he completes his cycle in those days.In the future the sun will set.

Modern scientists say that the sun contains certain elements (hydrogen and helium), which flow through it, and give the organisms useful nutrients in the light that dissolve in it when the sun rises. They also say that these chemicals have been in the sun for about five billion years ago. This tells us that, since this solar system originally did not exist, it is certain that in the future its light will fade, cease to shine, and be lost. This fact is echoed by modern scientists, as stated by Mark Garlick in his book The Story of the Solar System.

QUR'AN AND SCIENCE: Where Do They Meet? (3)

So what does God say about that?:

“The sun is moving towards its destination. That is the destiny of the Exalted in Might, the Knowing. ” (Yasin: 38)

That the sun is moving towards a certain destination is a sign of the time when God has ordained for it.

According to a 2004 study published in the journal Scientific American, many stars are lying down, some are getting old, and some are just beginning their life. The magazine says that even in the sun, there is a certainty that her days are coming. Because she was very old.

But because researchers do not bring the resurrection to their minds or beliefs, they say that if the sun ends its days, the moon will be found to replace it. As for every believing Muslim, this is nonsense. This definite divinity is nothing but the number of days allotted to women.

Or, on the other hand – as it comes in the Hadith of Bukhari, narrated by Abu Dharril – under the Throne of God. It is under the sun of God that the sun sets at every fall, but its final days come as soon as the Day of Judgment comes to a close.

When that day ceases to come, or when we no longer see it, it is a sign that the world is coming to an end.

This is what Qur’anic commentators such as Ibn Kathir and Aliyyus Saabooni say in their commentary on the meaning of this verse. Sabooni said:

“And another sign for them is the sun that travels by the will of God, in an astronomy that will never pass it, or cross it, in a period in which it will remain.

” And there will be some time to tick in it. It is the Day of Resurrection, when its course will end the destruction of the entire world. “Al-Iman Ibn Kathir also said:Indeed, the meaning of ‘its confirmation’, is the time of its occurrence its end, and it is the Day of Resurrection.

When her (system) movement collapses, she stops moving, and is wrapped; and this world is coming to an end. ”Therefore, the sun has a fixed time for it, which, when it reaches it, disappears, its light disappears, and it is wrapped around it, as the Qur’an informs us.
