Qur’an and Science: Where Did They Meet? (2)
This is the second in a series of essays on our study of the relationship between Qur’anic and modern science. Enjoy reading.
THE CREATION OF THE WORLD
Modern Scientific Research the first thing astronomers or astrophysicists have studied about the origin of the universe as a whole, not just the one in which we live, is the origin of the universe in one place; everything in a nutshell. That is to say, the origin of the universe is a lump of matter, or Sadima, (as Professor Muhammad Hambali Jinju calls it) the Primary Nebula. This lump explodes and disintegrates, which is the level of Secondary Separation. This led to the formation of gaseous masses. This dispersion led to the formation of all living things on earth, from the present world to the moon, the sun, the stars and other planets that we know today, as well as those known only to God.
This kind of understanding is called The Big Bang Theory, in astronomy. This research was started about four hundred years ago, and to this day, its existence in astronomy has been further confirmed through the use of telescopes and other means. Astronomers say that these two processes, which produced the earth and all other living things in it, took place billions of years ago!
Although researchers have long speculated about the origin of our planet for the past seven hundred years, no one has been able to come up with the closest thing to it, and come up with the Big Bang theory. Immanuel Kant of Germany, who lived between 1724–1804. At the time no one paid attention to his research until after his death at the age of fifty-four, when a scholar named Pierre-Simon elaborated; where he came up with something obvious that everyone understood very well.
This happened in the 17th century, 1,200 years after the revelation of the Holy Qur’an. If we look at this principle, we can see that it refers to three things, in short. The first is the formation of another Big Bang, as explained earlier. An explosion followed by the formation of a gaseous mass. Then came the constellations that came together to form the stars and the sun and the moon and the other planets that exist today (those we know and those we do not know). In his book The Story of the Solar System, Mark A. Garlick makes a lengthy commentary on the length of this period, and that not only are these planets being described, there is new information available. show that there are other planets in the universe, which the visionary has not yet reached.
Finally like other astronomers, Mark says that this evolutionary process took place “randomly”, that is, “just”, without the fact that anyone was responsible for it.
In short, “they are created over a long period of time, and that is how they will die.” This idea is the result of his belief in God as the creator of all things. So the reader should not be surprised.
Forits part, the 14th issue of Scientific American Issue No. 4, published in 2004, has a special focus on stars. This quote gave her the title: The Secret Lives of Stars. It contains many useful articles and articles, showing the age of the stars, their size, and that after the first major explosion in the Earth’s crust, it took more than a hundred million years for the stars to appear. to provide light.
The magazine also confirms that there is a difference in size and duration between the first stars and those living today. The early stars, according to the magazine, are very large, proving that some of them are even larger than the sun at the beginning of the event, and are distant from the sun; distance is not close.
This information is obtained through the development of state-of-the-art optical devices, as well as sophisticated mathematical algorithms that provide accurate results on the structure of objects, which can be computerized today, Computer Simulation Models. So what does the Qur’an say about that?
Proof from the Qur’an First of all, contrary to what the researchers claim, no one predetermined the existence of these celestial bodies, the stars, the sun, the moon and the moon, but in the Qur’an, God informs us that He did this work. . He also said that He created the heavens and the earth in six days.
Here is what he said:
“And indeed, We created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them in six days, and we were not harmed.” (Qaaf: 38)
However, there is a hint of truth in that research conducted by astronomers or predicted that the origin of the universe as a whole is cohesive. Contrary to many people’s beliefs, there is a lack of information on how things happened. Perhaps they were Muslims, who would have found enough satisfying information in the Qur’an in their research. While I know this is not the end of the search, they are still doing it, as Mark Garlick states in his book.
In the Qur’an, Allah gives us a lot of information about the creation of the universe and its contents. He first says that the origin of the universe is sewn together, or folded as they say, and then he opens it up, and divides its creation.
Here is what he said:
“Do not the Unbelievers see that the heavens and the earth were joined together (as one unit of creation), then we would open them?” (Ambiya ’: 30)
Qur’anic commentators have come up with two interpretations of this verse, and all have the same meaning.
Al-Imam Ibn Kathir in his commentary said: “All of them (the heavens and the earth) are intertwined; section by section, mixed with each other, one upon another, at the beginning of the story. So God opened this from that.
He made seven heavens, and seven earths. He also separated them from the wind (which floated between them). And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; After him,
Sheikh Abubakar Jaabir Al-Jazaa’iri also in his commentary went on this interpretation, adding that the fact that the heavens and the earth were sewn in the first place, still means that the heavens do not shed water, nor does the earth disappear. drive plants; that is, they are excluded from their interactions with each other in the first place. Here is what he said:
To the Universe: Possible and Impossible (2)”The point is that the heavens and the earth are one (in the first place), united, and then God will divide them.
The content of the commentary on this verse refers to the opinion of Ibn Jareer At-Tabari: it does not produce plants. The verse refers to these two faces. And they are all good.
“This interpretation is still the view of Abdullah bin Abbas, his disciples such as Mujahid, Sa’id bin Jubair, and Al-Hassan Al-Basari.The second thing that astronomers have confirmed after the collapse of this planet or its first explosion (what they call Secondary Separation), is the formation of a gaseous mass of dust, as explained earlier.
According to them, it was after the formation of this dust cloud that the galaxies, which eventually split into different planets, formed the sun, moon, and super-large stars. So if we understand them well, what this means is that after the explosion (or opening, as the Qur’an calls it), this dusty wind follows before the formation of other bodies (such as the moon and the sun). the big and small stars and our planet and its neighbors).
But in the Qur’an, God informs us that after the opening or explosion, He first created the earth in its entirety, abandoned it, and then ascended to heaven to complete its creation.
Finally, it provides all the elements on earth, such as streams, mountains, and mountains, as well as everything else in it. Let’s follow the details. We will understand the situation better, and where they fit in and where they do not find the system.
In their research, they did not inform us of the origin of creation. But the Qur’an informs us that the earth was first created, because it is the foundation, and the expanse, and then followed by the roof above it, is the seven heavens and everything in them. Here is what God said:
“He it is Who created for you all that is in the earth, and He directed Himself to the heaven, so He made them seven heavens. And He is Cognizant of all things “(Baqara: 29).
This shows us that the earth was first created by God, but astronomers have not yet discovered this. They also did not tell us how many days this explosion and the splitting of the universe took place. While they refer to millions of years in the formation of stars, some years in the formation of the moon and the sun and so on, this does not mean that the time of the explosion coincides with the time of their direct creation. They estimate their age from the time of their formation or some of them, to the present time, as shown by Scientific American magazine in that being between them.
But in the Qur’an, God informs us that He created the heavens and the earth and all that is in them in six days. After the explosion or opening of the world, as we read in the above verse in Surat al-Ambiya ‘, He created the land on which we walk or live in two days (from Sunday to Monday), leaving it at that. He then ascended to heaven, and created it and its contents in two days (from Tuesday to Wednesday), and then returned to earth, dispersing it, producing all its contents (for at first His creation only did ), within two days (from Thursday to Friday).
Here is what He said:
Say, “Do you really disbelieve in Him who created the earth in two days, and set up rivals to it?”
“That is the Lord of the universe. And He placed therein firm hills rising above it, and blessed it, and ordained therein its sustenance in four Days, alike for (all) who ask.” (Fussilat: 9-10).
It is clear from these two verses that the earth and its contents are created in four days, in a nutshell.
But it is not a coincidence, as God Himself says in another chapter:
“Are you more difficult to create or heaven? God built it. He raised its roof, then straightened it. And He made dark its night and brought out its light. And the earth, moreover, hath He extended (to a wide expanse); and He bringeth forth therefrom its water, its pasture, and the mountains, to dry them up, for your enjoyment, and for your cattle. (Naazi’aat: 27-33)
The word Dahaaha used by Allah refers to the process of producing its benefits. As we read in the above verses. And this happened after the creation of the seven heavens, as the verse indicates (to say “and the earth, after that…”, that is, after the creation of the heavens).
If we take the two days of the creation of the earth, and the two days of producing its contents, we see that they are the four days that God has mentioned in the Fussilat chapter that we first quoted above.Well, before we go to the sky, astronomers say that there is a gaseous mass of dust that has formed after the Earth’s explosion.
Does the Qur’an mention or refer to this dusty wind they bring? Yeah Al that sounds pretty crap to me, Looks like but aint for me either. Contrary to their description of the “dusty wind”, the Qur’an tells us that it was smoke or fumes, which was the result of God’s creation of the earth, as stated by Ibn Kathir in his commentary.
Let us return to Surah Fussilat, where Allah continues:He then ascended to heaven, while it was a smoke, and said to her and to the earth, “Come, willingly or unwillingly.” They said, “We have come, we are obedient.” He judged seven heavens in two days. And He inspired in each heaven its affair, and We adorned the lower heaven with lamps and for protection.
That is the destiny of the Exalted in Might, the Knowing. ” (Fussilat: 11-12)Now I am sure the reader understands how it is. That they did, the origin of the universe in a cluster, or in combination with each other, later separated, is true, as we have seen. That they did, after the explosion or disintegration, that there was “dusty wind” before the creation of other planets and stars, is not 100% true; the earth was created, and then there was smoke or vapor in the sky, before the seven heavens and all the stars, sun, moon, night and day were created.
This is what the Qur’an confirms, and further clarifies what their research has not yet reached. If you go to the stream, one day there will be water. Because in recent years there have been studies that show that the signs on the moon now indicate that it must have split. We have already been informed of this by the Qur’an 1,400 years ago.
